Homeschool day add-on in which families learn about Mother's Day and paint a decorative fan as a gift, with tea, lemonade and a light snack.
Cracker Country is hosting a Mother's Day Tea on Tuesday, May 11, 2027, from 1 PM to 2 PM. It's an add-on to the Cracker Country Homeschool Day, and it's built for homeschool families of all ages, so it works whether you're bringing a toddler or a teenager.
The program starts with a bit of history: you'll hear how the Mother's Day holiday began in the late 1800s and how the way people celebrate it has changed over the years. After that, everyone gets to make something. You'll paint your own decorative fan as a handmade gift for Mom, which is the part you actually get to take home. While you're working, tea is served, with lemonade for the younger guests and a light snack on the side. The whole thing is intergenerational, so kids and adults are doing it together rather than in separate groups.
One thing to keep in mind is that this is an add-on, not a standalone event. The ticket covers both the tea program and admission to the Homeschool Day: Music & Art happening that same day, so you're getting two things for one price. If you're already planning to be there for the main homeschool day, this is the part you can tack on to make it a Mother's Day outing.
