Monthly conservation celebration at ZooTampa with interactive activities and a manatee stamp for the ZT Saves Kids' Club.
ZooTampa at Lowry Park is hosting Conservation Connections: Manatee Awareness Month 2026 on Saturday, November 21, from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM. The day is built around the Manatee Habitat, where kids can take part in an interactive conservation activity and learn about rescued manatees. It's a good way to spend a Saturday morning with the little ones, especially if they've got a thing for the sea cows.
Conservation Connections is part of ZooTampa's monthly celebration series, which runs as part of the ZT Saves Kids' Club. The events happen on the third Saturday of each month at different spots throughout the zoo, and each one comes with its own interactive activity and a unique stamp. If you keep coming back, you can redeem your collection at the end of the year for prizes: Level 1 for four or more stamps, Level 2 for eight or more, and Level 3 if you manage to collect all twelve. It's a slow burn of a game, but it gives the kids something to look forward to every month.
There's something new this year, too: Flora the Explorer. You can download, print, and make your own Flora puppet, then photograph her in action around the zoo and share the results on social media with #FloraTheExplorer and #ZTConservationConnections. If you'd rather not print it at home, Flora sheets are available in the gift shops, right alongside ZT Saves Kids' Club Notebooks and Stamp Passports.
