BK Jackson and Friends: Jingle Jazz Tour

BK Jackson and Friends bring their Jingle Jazz Tour to the New Tampa Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, December 8, for a holiday concert that does something a bit different with the Christmas songbook. Instead of the usual carols, they're reimagining Christmas classics through smooth jazz and soulful vocals, with the saxophone taking a good deal of the lead. It's a holiday show, but it's built around a jazz ensemble rather than a choir or a big band.

BK Jackson handles the saxophone. He's a dynamic player with a resume that includes Grammy-nominated work with Prince and performances alongside Trombone Shorty, Anita Baker, and CeeLo Green, as well as a #1 Billboard Smooth Jazz Airplay single. He's joined by vocalist Bobbi Storm, who brings a blend of gospel, soul, R&B, and contemporary music that's played audiences across the country, and Gino Rosaria on keyboards. Rosaria was born and raised in Curaçao and now lives in Florida; he made his mark on the contemporary jazz scene with the charting album Still Waters Run Deep, which has played on stations like Sirius XM and iHeart Radio.

Together they're a three-piece—saxophone, vocals, and keyboards—and the set is described as a blend of high-energy saxophone, rich vocal performances, and groove-driven keyboard work. The holiday classics are the starting point, but the smooth jazz and soulful vocals are what they're building the evening around.

The show runs from 8 PM to 10 PM, about two hours, at the New Tampa Performing Arts Center, 8550 Hunters Village Road, Tampa, Florida 33647. Tickets range from $42.98 to $67.98 depending on your seat selection. The performance is presented by an independent producer who has rented the theatre, rather than being produced by the center itself.
