Annual gathering of Tampa Bay rainbow families for playground play, crafts and meeting new people, part of the LGBT Pride events in Tampa.
Annual Fall Fun with Family & Friends is back at Henry and Ola Park on Saturday, October 24, starting at 2:30 PM. It's a Tampa Bay rainbow families gathering, and it's an annual one, so if you've been before, you know the drill: an afternoon spent outdoors with other families from across the area.
The day is built around a few simple things. There's the playground for the kids to run around on, and there are crafts to make, so it's as much about keeping the little ones busy as it is about the adults catching up. Between the two, there's plenty of room to just hang out and meet new people. It's a low-key way to spend a Saturday afternoon in the park with other families who get it.
It's also part of the LGBT Pride events in Tampa, and the organizers describe it as open to everyone who is inclusive. That's a good way of putting it—you don't have to be part of a rainbow family to come along, as long as you're on board with the spirit of the thing. It's meant to be a welcoming space for the whole community to gather.
