Twelve-day Florida State Fair with rides, fair food, live entertainment and livestock exhibits at the Florida State Fairgrounds.
The 2027 Florida State Fair runs from February 4 to February 15 at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa. It's twelve days of rides, fair food, live entertainment and livestock exhibits, billed as "Florida's Original Fun" and "Florida's favorite February tradition."
One of the things that makes the fairgrounds work is how many different venues they have under one roof. The MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre is where Live Nation hosts concerts, and the Bob Thomas Equestrian Center is the fair's premier full-service equestrian facility. There's also the TECO Arena, the Expo Hall, and the Entertainment Hall. Then there's Cracker Country, which they describe as Tampa's only authentic living history museum, recreating rural Florida life at the turn of the century.
Because it's twelve days long, you don't have to cram everything into one afternoon. You can spend one day on the rides and fair food, another on the livestock exhibits, and a third on the concerts and the living history museum. It's a lot of ground to cover, and having a full twelve-day window makes it easier to take your time with it.
