Jam band Wolph plays covers and originals at Atomic Lounge with a pay-what-you-can entry ($10 suggested).
Wolph play Atomic Lounge on Wednesday, October 28, from 10 PM to 2 AM. It's a St. Louis jam band, formed three years ago by Dylan Stickle and Joshua Wright, who were both fresh out of high school when they started it. Their sets mix covers and originals, and they lean into the improvisational spirit of the Grateful Dead and other classic jam bands, blending that with more modern sounds. The band stresses that every show is unique, so you're getting a one-off rather than a setlist they run through every night.
That improvisational side has caught some industry attention. Dave Schools of Widespread Panic produces their original music in the studio, so the songs you'll hear live are the same ones he's worked on with them. Between the covers and the originals, the set stays in that jam tradition—songs that stretch out and change from one night to the next.

The show runs late, starting at 10 PM and going until 2 AM, so it's more of a late-night thing than a standard evening out. It's at Atomic Lounge, 4140 Manchester Ave, in St. Louis. Entry is pay what you can, with a $10 suggestion.
