The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis production of Irving Berlin's holiday musical, based on the classic film, with show-stopping numbers like 'Blue Skies' and 'Sisters'.
The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis brings White Christmas to the Loretto-Hilton Center Mainstage this December, running from December 2 through December 23 as part of The Rep's 2026-2027 season. It's a musical based on the classic holiday film, with music and lyrics by Irving Berlin and a book by David Ives and Paul Blake. The story follows two army buddies turned entertainers who team up with a singing sister act to save a snowless rural Vermont inn and find love along the way.
The cast is built around the Wallace and Davis song-and-dance team—Bob Wallace and Phil Davis—and the Haynes sisters, Betty and Judy. They're joined by Martha Watson, the general's manager at the Vermont inn. The show is based on the Paramount Pictures film written for the screen by Norman Krasna, Norman Panama, and Melvin Frank, and it's billed as a highly theatrical ensemble piece that lets you see the strings of theatre making, with actors moving set pieces across constantly changing scenes. The evening is carried by show-stopping numbers, including "Blue Skies," "Sisters," "Count Your Blessings," and the title song.
