Live show by New Orleans brass band Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, headlining the Shorty Gras Tour, with DJ Logic at The Pageant.
Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue play The Pageant on Thursday, February 18, 2027, as part of their Shorty Gras Tour. They're bringing DJ Logic along for the night, so there's a second set to look forward to before the main event.
If you aren't familiar with the name, Trombone Shorty is Troy Andrews, born and raised in New Orleans' Tremé. He's been around the stage since he was four, when he first performed at Jazz Fest with Bo Diddley, and he was leading his own brass band by six. He fronts Orleans Avenue on trombone and trumpet, and the sound they've built blends traditional New Orleans brass with funk, rock and hip-hop. Since 2010, he's put out four chart-topping albums and worked across genres with Pharrell, Bruno Mars, Mark Ronson, Foo Fighters and Ringo Starr, and played Coachella, Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza. He even appeared on Sesame Street, where he was honored with his own muppet.
His latest record, Lifted, was his first of original music in five years. He recorded it at his own Buckjump Studio with producer Chris Seefried, and Gary Clark Jr and Lauren Daigle both make appearances on it. Back home in New Orleans, he hosts the Treme Threauxdown at the Saenger Theater and closes the Jazz & Heritage Festival with the final set once played by The Neville Brothers and Professor Longhair. He also picked up his first Grammy for his work on Jon Batiste's Album of the Year We Are.
