Live recording of The 314 Podcast with host Sarah Fenske and guest Katie Lee, who celebrates the release of her memoir 'Unemployable: The Katie Lee Story'.
The 314 Podcast is recording live at .ZACK Theatre on Wednesday, October 21, with Katie Lee as the guest. The podcast is fronted by St. Louis Magazine executive editor Sarah Fenske and Ryan Krull, and this particular episode doubles as a book launch: Lee is celebrating her memoir, Unemployable: The Katie Lee Story.
The conversation goes beyond the pages of the book, tracing Lee's unconventional path from addiction and homelessness and time in a halfway house to building Katie's Pizza, a nationally recognized Italian food and restaurant company whose products are sold at Target. Fenske, who also hosts the monthly Legal Roundtable on St. Louis Public Radio, pushes the story into the St. Louis restaurant world and what it takes to keep moving forward when the traditional path was never really an option. The audience hears it all in Lee's own words.
Each ticket comes with a few extras: a St. Louis Daily tote bag, a signed copy of the memoir, and a jar of Katie's sauce. The night is presented by Russell Construction, with Target as sponsor.
