Over-18s hip-hop show by Detroit rapper Skilla Baby with Sada Baby on The Price of Fame Tour at The Pageant.
Skilla Baby brings The Price of Fame Tour to The Pageant on Monday, November 16, with Sada Baby joining him on the bill. It's a Detroit rap double bill in the middle of the week, so if you're into that sound, this is one of the easier ways to catch it in the city.
For those who don't know him, Skilla Baby—born Trevon Gardner—is one of the standout names coming out of Detroit. He was a teen basketball hopeful who turned to recording after losing his father at 15, and he broke through with the 2015 hit "I'm Good." Since then, he's built his following around projects like We Eat the Most and Crack Music, along with joint tapes with Sada Baby and Tee Grizzley. "Mama" earned a Gold certification, and he landed in XXL's 2024 Freshman Class as the People's Champ. Billboard, Pitchfork, Jack Harlow, and Travis Scott have all given him a nod.
One of the things that sets him apart is how he works with the people around him. He's known for seeking out mentors across the industry, from Motor City veterans like Sada Baby to multihyphenate forces like 50 Cent and Teyana Taylor. Having Sada Baby on the bill is a natural fit, given the two have recorded together before.
