Live show by Michigander, the project of Jason Singer, with special guest Chapel at Off Broadway on Lemp Avenue.
Michigander plays Off Broadway on Wednesday, October 21, with Chapel opening. It's a mid-week show in the Historic Cherokee Lemp District, and Chapel gets the early slot before Michigander takes over.
Michigander is the project of Jason Singer, a singer, producer, and guitarist from Midland, Michigan. He started the persona in 2014 while moving across his home state to Kalamazoo, and since then it's grown into a full-fledged career. By 2020, he'd put up more than 10 million streams and earned nods from NPR, Paste, NME, and SPIN. His 2016 independent single "Nineties" cracked a million streams on its own, and the Midland EP followed in 2018. He's shared the stage with Ra Ra Ra Riot, Tokyo Police Club, Twin Peaks, and Mt Joy, and played festivals alongside alt-j, Solange, Foster The People, and Run The Jewels.
Now signed to C3 Records, he expanded his sound in 2019 with singles like "Misery" and "Poplar," and released the EP Where Do We Go From Here through the label. The set should pull from that material and the earlier songs that built the project.
