The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra and St. Louis Symphony Chorus celebrate the holidays with Broadway star Norm Lewis in a festive concert of traditional and contemporary holiday music.
The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra and St. Louis Symphony Chorus are back for their annual holiday celebration, presented by Mercy, with Broadway star Norm Lewis joining them on stage. The program is a mix of timeless holiday music and contemporary classics, and it runs across several dates and two different venues. The first show is on Thursday, December 17, at 7:30 PM at the J. Scheidegger Center for Performing Arts at Lindenwood University in St. Charles. After that, the celebration moves to Powell Hall in St. Louis for the rest of the run: Friday, December 18, at 10:30 AM and 7:30 PM; Saturday, December 19, at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM; and Sunday, December 20, at 2:00 PM.
On stage, you'll find the full orchestra and chorus conducted by Erin Freeman, with Norm Lewis on vocals. The program pulls from a few different holiday moods: cozy fireside ballads, poignant carols, and the bright sound of sleigh bells. There's also the possibility of a visit from Santa Claus. It's the kind of set that works whether you're coming for the traditional carols or the more contemporary side of the holiday songbook.

Powell Hall is the SLSO's home, and it's dressed for the occasion, so the setting fits the program. If you're looking for a morning show, the 10:30 AM on Friday is your best bet; otherwise, there are evening and matinee options throughout the weekend. Tickets are $160.
