Failure play Delmar Hall on Wednesday, October 21, as part of their Rising Skyline Tour. They're joined by special guest Quannnic, who opens the bill.
Failure is a trio of Ken Andrews, Greg Edwards, and Kelli Scott, a band they describe as built on weight, density, and mass. They've been at it for thirty years, and they say they're still following the sound wherever it leads. The current lineup is a reunion: they came back together in 2014 after a seventeen-year hiatus, and since then they've put out four albums—the seventh overall—including 2021's Wild Type Droid and the nine-song Location Lost.
There's a bit of a story to the reunion, too. The band made a documentary and concert film, Every Time You Lose Your Mind / We Are Hallucinations, which traces their history, the drug-marred breakup that kept them apart for nearly two decades, and their second life playing for a younger, more diverse audience. That second act is what brings them to St. Louis this time around.
