First-come, first-served drop-in guided tour of the museum's Native American art collection, in observance of Native American Heritage Month.
Saint Louis Art Museum is running a guided tour called We Were Always Here starting Friday, November 6, and continuing through Saturday, November 28. It's part of the museum's programming for Native American Heritage Month, and the tour is designed to walk you through the Native American art held in the collection.
The range is pretty broad, which is the point. You'll see Ancestral Pueblo pottery alongside contemporary beadwork by artists from the Great Plains, so it pulls from different eras and regions rather than sticking to one corner of the gallery. It's a guided tour, so you'll have someone leading the way and talking through the pieces as you go, rather than just wandering on your own.
Because it's a series, you've got plenty of dates to choose from—eleven in total over those three weeks—so if one weekend doesn't work, there's another coming up shortly after. Each tour runs from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, an hour in the galleries. They're offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so there's no need to book ahead; just show up when you're ready.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in St. Louis and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.

The tours start at the welcome desk in Sculpture Hall, so that's where you'll want to head when you arrive. The museum is at One Fine Arts Drive, St. Louis, MO 63110. If you're planning to go, just keep in mind the 2:00 PM start time and the first-come, first-served format.
