Death From Above 1979 play The Old Rock House with support from Wine Lips.
Death From Above 1979 play The Old Rock House on Thursday, March 18, 2027. They're a dance-punk duo that formed around 2001 in Toronto, and they've spent more than two decades building a reputation as iconoclastic and everlasting. Their discography runs from You're a Woman, I'm a Machine (2004) to The Physical World (2014), Outrage! Is Now (2017), and Is 4 Lovers (2021). A fifth LP, Private Lives, is slated for a fall release, so this show comes as they're adding to that catalog.
Opening for them is Wine Lips, who also started in Toronto, back in 2015. They began as a part-time project between vocalist and songwriter Cam Hilborn and drummer Aurora Evans. Their 2019 album Stressor charted across North America and Europe, and 2021's Mushroom Death Sex Bummer Party drew more than 250 press features and millions of Spotify spins. The lead track from that one, "Eyes," has been licensed to numerous films, series, and video games.
