A 60-minute tribute concert by a string quartet that plays Taylor Swift's songs in a room lit only by hundreds of candles.
A Candlelight tribute to Taylor Swift comes to The Link Auditorium on Saturday, October 24, with a string quartet playing through her eras in a room lit by hundreds of flickering candles. The series is produced by Fever, and the whole idea is to take a popular artist's music and strip it back to strings, performed in a space where the candles are the only light. It's a quiet, intimate way to spend an evening, and this particular show works its way through Swift's different eras, so you'll hear material from across her career rather than just one album. The performance runs about 60 minutes.
One thing to keep in mind: this is a tribute, not an official production. It isn't associated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Taylor Swift or her representatives. The music is performed by a string quartet, not by Swift herself, so it's her songs reimagined for strings rather than the original recordings.
The venue is The Link Auditorium at 4504 Westminster Place in the Central West End. It's a historic building designed by Theodore Link and built in 1908 for The Wednesday Club, a women's education and social club. These days it serves as a learning center and event space for concerts, programs, and art exhibits. The building is wheelchair accessible, but there's no on-site parking, so you'll want to plan your arrival accordingly.
