Open house to share feedback and get construction updates on the Forest Park Connector segment of the Brickline Greenway.
Great Rivers Greenway is holding an open house for the Brickline Greenway Forest Park Connector on Thursday, October 29, from 5:00 to 6:30 PM at BJC Commons in St. Louis. It's a drop-in session, so you can come and go as you please during that window.
The Forest Park Connector is a one-mile stretch of the larger Brickline Greenway. It'll link Forest Park's shared-use path at Clayton Avenue, follow Clayton through the Kingshighway underpass to Boyle Avenue, and then run one block north to the Cortex MetroLink station. That's a pretty specific piece of the city's bike and pedestrian map, and it's now 60% designed. The open house is a chance to see those designs and talk them over with the project team, who'll be there to take feedback. They're also sharing construction updates on other segments of the Brickline Greenway, so you can get a sense of how this piece fits into the bigger picture.
If you're not already familiar, the Brickline Greenway is a multi-mile trail system being built across the city, and the Forest Park Connector is one of its key links. This particular mile connects the park to the Cortex district, which is a big hub for research and startups. It's the kind of project that changes how you get around the city, so it's worth seeing where it's going before it's set in stone.
