All-ages heavy music show headlined by Aseethe with Fister and Railhazer at The Sinkhole.
Aseethe are playing The Sinkhole on Saturday, October 17, with Fister and Railhazer. Aseethe are coming in from Iowa City, so they're the ones traveling for the night. Fister is local to St. Louis, and Railhazer rounds out the bill. The whole thing is part of The Sinkhole's live series, and it's an all-ages show, so you don't have to worry about an age limit at the door.
If you haven't heard Aseethe yet, they're a Midwestern band carving their own path in heavy music. They describe their sound as a blend of seismic weight, mesmeric drone, and gripping tension, and they talk about an exploratory ethos that warps sounds into emotionally potent songs that are as detailed as they are immense. It's a good way to frame what they doβthe seismic weight is the heavy side, the drone is the slow, sustained part, and the tension is what holds it together. When they talk about warping sounds, they're talking about taking a sound and stretching or twisting it until it becomes something else. And when they say the songs are detailed and immense, they mean they're working on the small things without losing sight of the big picture.
With Fister and Railhazer on the bill, you've got three acts in one night. Fister is based right here in St. Louis, so they're the hometown presence. Railhazer joins them for the evening. Between the three of them, you'll get a full night of music rather than just one set.
