Urban Room Fridays are back at Medbar on Friday 9 October, running from 10pm until 2am. It's a late-night room dedicated to urban music, and it's the upstairs space rather than the main floor downstairs. The set focuses on Afrobeats, Dancehall, Bashment, Afro Party, Amapiano, and R&B/Hip Hop, so it's a night built around those sounds rather than a broad mix.
If you're not familiar with how the venue works, it's worth knowing that Medbar runs two rooms at once. The downstairs main room takes a more commercial route, covering chart hits, Latin hits, 90s and 00s throwbacks, pop, UK Garage, and Drum & Bass. The Urban Room upstairs is the dedicated urban side of things, and it's open every Friday and Saturday from 10pm until late, so if you're heading in on a Friday, you've got a choice of where to spend your night.

Medbar has been trading since 2013, and they run 2-for-1 cocktails every day from 4pm until 8pm, Saturdays included, alongside a range of drinks packages. If you're planning to arrive early and have a few before the music kicks in, that's the window to keep in mind. The Urban Room itself starts at 10pm and runs until 2am, so you've got plenty of time to settle in.
