Urban Room Fridays

Urban Room Fridays is on at Medbar this Friday 3 July, and it's one of the few nights in Southampton with a room dedicated entirely to urban music. It runs from 10pm until 2am in the upstairs room, so it's a proper late-night session rather than an early evening thing. The music is urban throughout, with a good mix of urban bangers to keep the dancefloor moving.

Medbar has been a fixture on Oxford Street since 2013 and is known for its two-room setup, which is why Urban Room Fridays gets its own space upstairs. It's built for party-goers and social butterflies, with a social atmosphere that carries through the night. The venue stays open until 2am every Friday and Saturday, so if you're planning a late one, this is one of the spots that'll keep going.

Beyond the club nights, there's more to the place than just the dancefloor. Medbar runs a Mediterranean-inspired menu with tapas and grill dishes, and it's home to Hampshire's biggest party brunch, with a drinks list that includes over 27 cocktail jugs. The weekly schedule is pretty varied: Karaoke Wednesdays, Latin Fiesta on Sundays with salsa, bachata and kizomba, and Hampshire's only weekly daytime clubbing on Saturdays.

Urban Room Fridays runs every Friday from 10pm to 2am at Medbar, 50 Oxford Street, Southampton, SO14 3DP. Entry is free before 10pm, so if you get there early you can save a few quid before the night properly kicks off.
