Troy Hawke - Never Stop, Never Change!

Troy Hawke brings Never Stop, Never Change! to Central Hall on Saturday 10 October, his first Southampton date since his last sell-out world tour. It's part of a UK tour that keeps running well into 2027, so this is one of the few chances to catch him in the city.

The show follows a homeschooled matinee idol who's emerged into a modern-day dystopian present with the naivety of a newborn fawn. From there, he has to navigate conversational minefields both online and in real life. It's a character-led piece of comedy, and the whole thing is built around that one persona trying to make sense of a world he wasn't prepared for. Critics have called it 'riotously funny' and 'intelligent and effective satire', and have praised Hawke as a character of real comic integrity.

If you've seen his previous work, you'll know the format: Hawke stays in character throughout, and the comedy comes from the gap between who he thinks he is and how the world actually works. Never Stop, Never Change! takes that into the digital age, so expect a fair bit of it landing on the internet and the particular way we talk to each other there. It's a new show, so it's fresh material rather than a best-of from the tour he's just come off.

Doors open at 18:30 and the show starts at 19:30. Tickets start from £25.00, and the venue advises an age restriction of 14+.
