A creative art and storytelling session for children under four and their grown-ups, where each child makes their own spindly spider friend to take home.
Toddler Time: Silly Spiders! is at SeaCity Museum on Thursday 29 October, from 10.30am to 11.30am. It's part of the Toddler Time programme run by Southampton Cultural Services, and this particular session is built around spiders.
The whole thing is led by Celia Ford, who works as both an artist and an early years practitioner. She'll be running the session with stories and art-making at the heart of it, so it's a mix of listening and doing rather than just one or the other. Every child gets to make their own spindly spider friend to take home and keep afterwards, so there's something to show for the hour.
It's aimed at children under four and their grown-ups, and it's designed for that age group to work through with an adult by their side. If you've got older siblings or extra adults coming along, they're welcome too. The session runs for an hour, from 10.30am to 11.30am, so it's a morning slot that fits around the usual toddler routine.
