The Noise Next Door: Comedy, Improvised

The Noise Next Door are playing The Attic on Saturday 26 September, their improvised comedy show made up on the spot. If you've never seen them, that's exactly what it is: no script, no rehearsed sketches, just a whole night built from scratch in front of you.

They call themselves 'The UK's Premier Improv Comedy Troupe', and they've got the track record to back it up. They're award-winning veterans of twelve sell-outs at the Edinburgh Fringe, and over the years they've shared stages with Michael McIntyre, Katherine Ryan, Romesh Ranganathan and Harry Hill. Their work has been broadcast on BBC One, ITV1 and Comedy Central, so they're well used to playing for big rooms. The critics have been on board too: The Telegraph called the show 'hilarious... a superior kind of chaos', The Stage described it as '21st century comedy at its finest and funniest', and The Guardian went with 'comedy gold'.

They've spent fifteen years making things up on the spot, and they've even put out a debut comedy album, Desperately Seeking Relevance. That's the thing about improv — it's a bit of a tightrope, and they've been walking it for a long time, so they're not exactly new to this. The whole show is built from the ground up on the night, so it'll be different from any other show they've done.

The venue is Southampton Comedy Club, The Attic, River Studios, 32 Winsor Road, Totton, Southampton SO40 9HQ. Doors open at 7pm, with the show starting at 7.45pm. Tickets are £14.00, and it's currently sold out. There are no physical tickets issued; admission is by name on the door, and they recommend having proof of purchase on your phone. The bar and beer garden are open from 6.30pm, so there's plenty of time to get a drink in before the start.
