A night of live guitar-rock from The Kairos, reminiscent of Oasis, Arctic Monkeys and Kasabian, at The Joiners.
The Kairos play The Joiners on Sunday 11 October, starting at 7:00 PM. They're a Liverpool indie-rock quartet built on high-octane guitar riffs, infectious hooks and Scouse rock 'n' roll swagger, with a reputation for explosive live shows and anthemic releases. It's a guitar-led night, and the sound sits in the same territory as Oasis, Arctic Monkeys and Kasabian.
They've been described by Gigslutz as playing 'scuzzed up, fuzzed up Scouse Rock n Roll', which gives you a fair idea of where they're coming from: loud, distorted guitars and a bit of a swagger to it. The comparisons to Oasis, Arctic Monkeys and Kasabian aren't just about the sound, either — there's a certain kind of raucous energy they bring to the stage that fits right in with that lineage of British guitar bands. If you're into that sort of thing, this is exactly the kind of set you'll want to be in the room for.
The Joiners is one of Southampton's most celebrated grassroots venues, known for hosting early career sets from a long list of major UK rock acts. It's a place that's seen plenty of bands pass through on their way up, so it's a fitting spot for a night of live guitar rock. The show is for ages 14 and over, with under-14s needing to be accompanied by an adult.
