LA-formed band Tchotchke return to the UK to promote their second album, Playin'Dumb, at Heartbreakers Bar, with support from Canned Pineapple.
Tchotchke are back in the UK, playing Heartbreakers Bar in Southampton on Monday 5 October. They're touring their second album, Playin'Dumb, and the night is put on by Psychltd, so they're sharing the bill with Canned Pineapple.
Tchotchke are a three-woman band formed in Los Angeles, and their sound draws on 60s girl groups and artists like The Beach Boys, Harry Nilsson, Sparks and Dolly Mixture. It's a particular kind of pop sensibility—melodic, harmony-led, and with a clear nod to the sunshine-pop and art-pop of that era. Playin'Dumb is the record they're out promoting, and this date is part of the UK tour they've put together around it.
