A night of club music with SEMSU DJs across house, garage, drum and bass, from 10:30pm until 3:00am.
SEMSU are back at Suburbia on Tuesday 22 September with Spin It Back!, their first SEMSU-run event of the year. It's a club night, and the bill is straightforward: a back-to-back line-up of the label's own DJs taking turns across the decks. Rather than a single headliner, the night is built around a succession of sets, one following the other, so the music keeps moving through the evening.
As for what they'll be playing, the night covers house, garage, drum and bass, and a bit more on top. It's a broad stretch of club music, so you'll hear the house and garage side of things alongside the faster, breakbeat energy of drum and bass, with the DJs switching between them as the night goes on. Because it's a back-to-back format, the sound shifts as different DJs take over, rather than sticking to one style for the whole set.
It's a late one, too. The music starts at 10:30pm and runs right through until 3:00am, so it's more of a full night out than a quick stop. If you're coming from across town, you'll want to keep that in mind, as the main action doesn't even kick off until half past ten.
