Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie

Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie is screening at Showcase Cinema de Lux in Westquay, with the main run kicking off on Friday 7 August. It's directed by Cal Brunker, and the story takes Ryder and the pups — Chase, Marshall, Rocky, Rubble, Skye and Zuma — into a mysterious storm that lands them on a tropical island full of prehistoric beasts. A dino-expert pup named Rex befriends the stranded team and helps them find their way around this lost world, but things go south when Mayor Humdinger's greedy attempt to mine the island for its natural resources wakes a dormant volcano. That turns the whole adventure into the pups' biggest rescue mission yet.

There are plenty of times to choose from, so it's easy to fit around the school run or a day out. On Sunday, there's an 11:00 showing; Wednesday has 09:10, 11:55 and 14:15; and Thursday has 09:40 and 11:55. There's also a subtitled screening on Tuesday at 09:10, which is handy if you've got little ones who are still finding their feet with the dialogue. The cinema is on Level 4 of the West Quay Shopping Centre, SO15 1QF, so you can easily combine it with a bit of shopping or lunch.
