Paint & Sip: Halloween Candles vs Canvases

Paint & Sip is coming to The Bridge on Tuesday 13 October, from 18:30 to 21:00. It's part of SUSU's Halloween Halls Life, and the whole thing is pitched as a relaxed way to unwind, get creative and spend time with friends. You don't need any prior artistic experience to take part.

The session is a bit different from your usual painting night because you get to choose what you work on: a Halloween-themed candle or a canvas. All the materials are provided on the night, so you'll have your canvas or candle, plus the paints, brushes and palettes you need to get started. The atmosphere is laid-back, with noise levels similar to a café and standard lighting, and spaces are limited, so it's worth booking your spot early.

Drinks aren't included in the ticket price, but there's a range of them available on the night if you fancy one while you paint. A glass of prosecco is £2.95, a bottle is £15, and a hot drink with a cake is £1, alongside a selection of mocktails. It's the kind of evening where you can just turn up, pick your project, and spend a few hours chatting and painting without having to worry about the setup. The session runs from 18:30 to 21:00 at The Bridge, Building 42, Highfield Campus, University of Southampton, and tickets are £7.00.
