South Coast's biggest fireworks night with a display choreographed to pop hits, street food, a funfair and live DJs.
Mayflower Park Fireworks returns to Mayflower Park on Saturday 7 November, the South Coast's biggest fireworks night. The display is choreographed to a pop soundtrack, so you'll be watching the pyrotechnics in time with the music rather than just seeing them go off in the dark.
This year's theme is 'The POP EXPLOSION', with the display set to hits from ABBA, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Coldplay, KPOP and Demon Hunters. It's a broad mix that should cover a few different tastes across the crowd. On the main stage, live DJs keep things going throughout the night, so there's music to hear even when the fireworks aren't firing.
Beyond the display, there's street food, beer, and a funfair with rides and games, which makes it more of a full evening out than just a quick look at the sky. The whole thing is run by the Southampton Round Table, and the money raised goes to support local community projects and charities around the city.

For a bit of context, Bonfire Night—or Guy Fawkes Night—has been a British tradition for over 400 years, dating back to the failed Gunpowder Plot of 1605. It started as a celebration of King James I's survival, which eventually led to an Act of Parliament for an annual thanksgiving. Some displays also include silent or low-noise fireworks for people with sensory sensitivities.
Tickets are ÂŁ15 for adults and ÂŁ7 for children aged 5 to 15, with under-fours free. You'll find the event at Mayflower Park, Town Quay Road, Southampton, SO14 2AQ.
