Concert by guitarist John 5, known for his work with Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson, as part of his UK + EU Tour 2026.
John 5 plays The 1865 on Monday 12 October, as part of his UK + EU Tour 2026. It's a Divergent Promotions show, and he's not coming alone: he'll be joined by Ian Ross on bass and Logan Miles Nix on drums.
If you've never come across him, John 5 is a Grosse Pointe, Michigan native who's spent nearly three decades playing for some of the biggest names in rock and metal. He's best known for his time with Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, David Lee Roth and Mötley Crüe, and he doesn't just stick to the electric guitar — he plays banjo and mandolin too. His style is hard to pin to one genre; he's been described as drawing on rock, country, heavy metal, emo, industrial and bluegrass, and he tends to shift his sound with every new track, album and guest appearance.
This show pulls from nearly 30 years of his solo album tracks, along with his signature riffs and speed picking. It's a good way to hear his solo work and his playing style in one go, rather than just as a sideman for someone else. The set will be backed by Ross and Nix, so it's a full band on stage rather than a solo turn.
