Hayseed Dixie return to The Brook with their banjo-laden hillbilly take on AC/DC and Motorhead songs, marking their 25th Anniversary Tour.
Hayseed Dixie return to The Brook on Thursday 15 October, part of their 25th Anniversary Tour. They first made a name for themselves back in 2001 with A Hillbilly Tribute to AC/DC, and they've spent the years since doing the same thing with other rock classics: stripping them back and rebuilding them as bluegrass. It's a banjo-heavy take on AC/DC and Motorhead, and they've built their whole thing around that crossover.
This tour marks a bit of a milestone for them, and there's a new album to go with it. Rockgrass Outlaws returns to the outlaw country songs that inspired them in the first place, played with the same mix of banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar and attitude they've always used. The tour runs throughout 2026 across the UK, Ireland and Europe, so this is one of the dates they're playing on their way around.
Opening the night are Sweet Electric, a modern rock n roll band from Cologne, Germany. They launched at the end of 2022 and played Rockpalast in November 2023, so they're coming in from the European side of things to warm up the room before Hayseed Dixie take over.
