Glam metal band Faster Pussycat performs their 40th Anniversary Tour at The Brook, with support from Femme Fatale and Blacklist Union.
Faster Pussycat play The Brook on Wednesday 2 September, part of their 40th Anniversary Tour. The night is presented by Hammerdown Promotions, with two support acts opening for them: Femme Fatale and Blacklist Union.
Faster Pussycat came out of the mid-80s LA glam rock scene with Taime Downe on vocals. The original line-up — Downe, Greg Steele and Brent Muscat on guitar, Eric Stacy on bass and Mark Michals on drums — signed with Elektra Records and released a self-titled debut produced by Ric Browde. That record gave them 'Babylon', 'Bathroom Wall', 'Cathouse' and 'Don't Change That Song', which had a video directed by Russ Meyer. This tour marks forty years since those early days.
Femme Fatale are fronted by Lorraine Lewis, who recorded one LP for MCA and played Castle Donington before fronting the Christian metal band Submission Blue. Blacklist Union are led by Tony West, whose 2023 album Letters from the Psych Ward drew on the legacy of Andrew Wood.
