DJ BRUIN brings his Ibiza-inspired house and disco sound to The Alexandra in Southampton.
BRUIN is back at The Alexandra on Friday 25 September, continuing a residency at the venue on Bellevue Road. He's been playing here since moving to Southampton earlier this year, and the night is built around a gospel-inflected house and disco sound that draws on 90s and 00s New York City-rooted and Ibiza-inspired music.
That Ibiza connection isn't just a description of the sound, either. His summer tour took him to the island's own venues, including Wi-Ki-Woo, Word of Mouth and Café Mambo, so the set comes straight from the source. Across the UK, he's played Funktifino in Portsmouth, Lovezoo in Nottingham, Decadence in Birmingham and Late Night Disco in London, and this is part of the residency he's keeping going back home in Southampton.

If you're not familiar with the style, it's house and disco with a gospel lean, leaning on the New York and Ibiza sounds of the 90s and 00s. It's the same sound he's been taking to those summer dates, brought back to the city he moved to earlier this year. The Alexandra is on Bellevue Road, and this is one of the nights he's playing as part of his residency there.
