DJ and producer I. Jordan workshop and fundraiser

I. Jordan are coming to IO on Terminus Terrace on Thursday 13 August, and they're bringing two things in one: a DJ workshop followed by a fundraising night. They're one of the UK's most celebrated electronic artists, and this is a rare chance to get them in a room for something other than a dancefloor.

The workshop runs from 6pm to 8pm and is open exclusively to trans+, non-binary and gender non-conforming people. It starts with a short talk from I. Jordan, who draw on their own journey into DJing, their experiences as a trans person in the scene and their creative practice. After that, it moves into hands-on sessions with DJ equipment, so you'll be getting stuck in rather than just listening. If you've ever wanted to see how it actually works from the inside, this is a good place to start.

Your ticket also covers the fundraising night that follows, which runs from 8pm to 10pm. That kicks off with a set from I. Jordan, followed by a line-up of address DJs. The whole night is raising money for THEIR Initiative and address, two organisations that work on building community and championing inclusive spaces through art, music and culture.

So it's a double: the workshop from 6pm to 8pm, and the fundraising night from 8pm to 10pm, both at IO on Terminus Terrace in Southampton on Thursday 13 August. The workshop is open to trans+, non-binary and gender non-conforming people, and the ticket gets you into the night that follows.
