Comedy at Heartbreakers

Comedy at Heartbreakers is a new free comedy night at Heartbreakers on the Strand, and it's just getting started. It's a curated session of stand-up, which means instead of a random mix, the night is put together with a particular crowd in mind: comedy fans and stand-up enthusiasts who'd rather see a proper line-up than a few acts thrown together. The bill promises professional acts and sharp wit from seasoned performers, so you're getting people who've spent plenty of time on stage rather than a room full of first-timers.

If you've spent any time at the comedy nights at Belgium or Blues, this will feel familiar. The organisers describe it as more of the same chaotic fun in a new home, so if those nights worked for you, this is the same sort of thing just shifted over to the Strand. It's a night built around a series of monologues, with several different comics taking turns throughout the evening, so you'll get a good variety of styles and voices in one sitting.

It's a free night, which makes it an easy one to drop into without much thought. The first session is on Tuesday 8 September, starting at 8:00pm at Heartbreakers, on the Strand in Southampton.
