Chase & Status

Chase & Status are playing EngineRooms on Thursday 29 October, their first Southampton date in a while. They're a drum and bass duo, and this is a live DJ set rather than a full band performance, so you'll have them behind the decks rather than on stage with instruments.

The night is built around their new album, Generic Everything, which they're touring at the moment. It's the latest record from them, and the set is a celebration of it, so you'll hear the new material played out loud. If you've been following the album since it came out, this is a chance to hear those tracks in a club setting rather than on headphones.

As a duo, Chase & Status have been around for years, and while the new album takes centre stage, they're known for a sound that sits firmly in the drum and bass world. The set will be a DJ set, meaning they'll be mixing tracks together throughout the night rather than playing a fixed list of songs one after another. It's a live performance in the sense that they're there in the room, working the decks in front of you.

It's a Thursday night, so it's a mid-week one rather than a weekend slot. The set starts at 21:00, and the venue is EngineRooms in Southampton. If you're planning on going, that's the time to keep in mind.
