A fast-paced solo show condensing the 144 episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer into a witty performance told through the eyes of Spike, created by Brendan Murphy.
Buffy Revamped comes to Mayflower Studios on Friday 9 October, with Brendan Murphy taking the stage in Studio 1 on Above Bar Street. It's a solo show that condenses all 144 episodes of the 90s cult series Buffy the Vampire Slayer into about 70 minutes, run through without an interval. The whole thing is told through the eyes of Spike, the one character who knows the show inside out, and it leans heavily on 90s pop-culture references.
Murphy wrote and created the show himself, and it's directed by Hamish MacDougall. It premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2022, where it picked up Best One Person Show and Best Comedy Performance at the DarkChat Awards, and it went on to be the best-reviewed comedy show of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2023. Since then it's toured Ireland, Australia, Canada and the USA, alongside several sold-out UK national tours. This isn't Murphy's first go at the format either: his previous show, FRIEND (The One with Gunther), won Best Play at the World Wide Comedy Awards.
