Bare Jams, a British band fusing indie pop with soul, funk, jazz and rock, perform live at The Brook.
Bare Jams play The Brook on Thursday 17 September, their only Southampton date. They're headlining on their own, so the whole night is their material rather than a shared bill.
It's a wide-ranging set. They describe themselves as a tour-de-force of experienced musical alchemists who fuse indie pop with soul, funk, jazz and rock, and that's a fair summary of what they do. The pop is the core, but they pull in reggae, dub and ska as well, and they're known for infectious melodies and exuberant live performances. Two of their songs, 'Cold Treats' and 'Orange Sunshine', are among the ones they're most recognised for.
Writer and lyricist Ollie Coombes has been at the helm for over a decade. He started the band in 2011 while he was still at school in Dorset, and it's grown since then into a British outfit. Their discography includes No Rain, No Flowers, which they composed in early 2023 and released in late 2024, and a third album, Full Circle, which came out in July 2026. They've also collaborated with artists like KingTouch.
