Michelin-recommended restaurant AO by Daniel Rogan hosts an exclusive five-course tasting menu dinner with wines from Chateau Ksara.
AO by Daniel Rogan is hosting a one-off dinner with Chateau Ksara on Wednesday 21 October, a collaboration between the Michelin-recommended restaurant on Oxford Street and Lebanon's oldest winery. The evening is built around a five-course tasting menu, with four of the estate's wines paired across the courses.
AO is well known in Southampton for its focus on seasonal produce and precise cooking, and this particular night shifts that attention towards the Bekaa Valley. Chateau Ksara is the oldest winery in Lebanon, and the pairing brings its wines into a professional kitchen setting here in the city. The five courses are designed to run alongside the four wines, so you'll get a sequence of dishes and glasses moving through the meal together.
It's a single-night event rather than a regular fixture on the menu, which is why it's billed as a collaboration. The tasting menu format means the kitchen handles the pacing, and the wine pairings are selected to match each course as it comes out. If you're usually the one deciding on the bottle, this is a bit different — the pairings are set, so the focus is on how the food and the wine work together.
