Live music gig by Alex Kriche, blending jazz, soul and funk, at Hanger Farm Arts Centre.
Alex Kriche plays Hanger Farm Arts Centre on Wednesday 16 September, performing with his trio. He's a South Coast singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who's spent the last five years on the international circuit, with dates in Canada, Australia and the United States, including a set at Birdland Jazz Club in Manhattan.
He studied contemporary jazz piano with John Horler and draws on jazz, soul and funk, arranging classic hits in his own personal style. On the night, he'll be playing original material alongside reimagined songs by David Bowie, Sting and George Michael. It's a mix of his own writing and those familiar names, both given the same treatment.
