A relaxed, interactive 90-minute performance by HurlyBurly Theatre for parents and babies, where families can come and go as they wish.
HurlyBurly Theatre bring After Party to Turner Sims on Saturday 26 September, with two separate sessions at 11:00 and 14:00. It's a relaxed, interactive performance for parents and babies, and the whole thing is designed around the way very young children actually behave: you can come and go as you like, so if your little one has a meltdown or just decides they've had enough, you can head out without worrying about missing a curtain call.
The HurlyBurly ensemble combine uplifting vocal music with a playful, immersive multi-sensory world, and they describe the show as ebbing and flowing around the families in the room. It's built on the intuitive freedom and curiosity of very young children, and it invites parents to embrace the chaos of the early years rather than fight it. The performance lasts 90 minutes, but since it's a come-and-go affair, you don't have to stay for the whole thing if you don't want to.

This follows on from the ensemble's You Are The Sun in 2025, so it's a new piece of work from them. The company's family concerts now run on a Pay What You Can model, which means you choose what you pay based on your circumstances: £6 is the 'Join Us' price, £8 is the recommended price, and £12 is 'Pay It Forward' to help others attend. You can mix and match these across your booking, and the two sessions on the day are at 11:00 and 14:00, each running for 90 minutes.
