Free drop-in, hands-on festive session to roll and decorate your own traditional Yule log at Langsett Barn.
Yule Log Making is happening at Langsett Barn Car Park on Thursday 17 December, a drop-in session that runs from 10am to 1pm. It's a hands-on festive activity where you roll up logs, decorations and holiday cheer to craft your own traditional Yule log to take home. The whole thing is free to enter, so it's a low-stakes way to spend a morning getting something made before the Christmas rush really kicks in.
Because it's a drop-in, you don't have to be there right when it opens; you can turn up whenever suits you between 10am and 1pm, stay for as long as you like, and leave when you're done. It's a good one for a mid-week break, especially if you're already out and about in the area. You'll be working with logs and decorations to put together a traditional Yule log, the kind of thing that's usually more of a family tradition than a public workshop, so it's a nice chance to get one sorted without having to gather all the bits yourself.

The session is at Langsett Barn Car Park - Yorkshire Water, out at Langsett (A616, S36 9FD). Parking is free at the Langsett Barn car park, which has 62 spaces, and at the nearby Langsett Flouch car park, which has another 24, so you shouldn't have any trouble finding a spot. If you're coming by bus, they stop 0.1 miles away opposite the Wagon and Horses pub, a short walk from the car park. Tickets are booked via Eventbrite, and entry is free.
