Whirlow, Ringinglow and Ox Stone Circular

The Whirlow, Ringinglow and Ox Stone Circular is a mountain bike ride starting from Lady Cannings MTB trail parking on Saturday 5 December. It's a circular route that takes in three of the area's well-known spots — Whirlow, Ringinglow and Ox Stone — and brings you back to where you started, so you'll be heading out and returning to the same car park.

If you're not familiar with the names, they're all part of the Peak District's edge, just outside the city. Whirlow and Ringinglow are two of the villages that sit on the fringe of the National Park, and Ox Stone is one of the landmarks you'll pass along the way. The circular format means you get a good stretch of trail without having to worry about a separate way home.

The ride is on Saturday 5 December, with a 09:45 start. You're asked to arrive by 09:30, so there's a bit of time to get your gear sorted and meet the others before you set off. The meeting point is Lady Cannings MTB trail parking, Sheffield S11 7TU, which is a dedicated spot for mountain bikers, so you won't be fighting for a space in a random residential street.

It's a Meetup event, so there's a £1 charge unless you've already paid for a membership. Any extra goes towards maps, apps and first aid, which is a handy thing to have on a ride that covers three different areas. If you're keen, just make sure you're at Lady Cannings by 09:30 on the morning of the 5th.
