UK touring ABBA tribute show with a full live cast and band playing the group's hits from 'Mamma Mia' to 'Dancing Queen'.
Waterloo play the Oval Hall at Sheffield City Hall on Thursday 26 November, starting at 7:30 pm. It's a tribute production that recreates the look, sound and energy of ABBA, with a full live cast and band, costumes and choreography. The set runs through the group's hits, from Mamma Mia to Dancing Queen.
It's a touring show, so the whole thing is built around the live performance rather than a recording. The cast and band play the songs live, and the costumes and choreography are part of the act. The production is a tribute and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the ABBA estate.
The venue is the Oval Hall, which sits inside Sheffield City Hall, a Grade II* listed neoclassical building opened in 1932. It's known for its giant portico, two tiers of horseshoe balconies and an elaborate domed ceiling with an Art Deco rooflight. The hall holds 2,271 people, so it's a fair-sized room for a night of pop.
