A slower, walking-pace version of netball run by England Netball, open to all skill levels.
Walking Netball is back at Cannon Medical Arena on Tuesday 22 December, from 18:00 to 19:00. It's exactly what it sounds like: netball played at a walking pace, run by England Netball and open to all skill levels. If you've never played before, it's a great way to get into it without the full-sprint intensity of the standard game, and if you're returning to the court after a break, it's a gentler way back in.
The sessions are described as full of fun, laughter and camaraderie, which is a good way to put it. The focus is as much on the social side as the sport, so it's a decent shout if you're looking for something active to do with friends or just fancy meeting a few new people. Because it's open to all abilities, you don't need to be a seasoned pro to join in.
One of the easier things about it is that you don't need to register in advance. You can just turn up, though they do ask that you email the contact if you don't follow the online registration process, just so the organisers can get in touch if a session ever has to be cancelled. Payment is made directly to the partner deliverers on the day.

It's a single hour on a Tuesday evening, so it fits around a working day. The session runs from 18:00 to 19:00 at Cannon Medical Arena on Worksop Road, Sheffield, S9 3TL, with tickets starting from £4.00.
