Free in-person workshop for early-stage tech startups on using LinkedIn for marketing, connections and sales, part of the TechForge Accelerator.
Using LinkedIn to Build Your Business runs at Electric Works on Tuesday 3 November, from 10:00 to 13:00. It's a free, in-person workshop for small business owners, and it's one of five sessions in the TechForge Accelerator from Business Sheffield.
The workshop is run by the city's Tech Scale-Up Advisors, and it's built for early-stage, technology-centred startups. That means it's aimed at software companies exploring an idea, developing a prototype or MVP, or already trading. The session runs for just over two hours and finishes with a networking session, so you'll have time to chat with other founders in the room after the main part is done.
The framing here is that LinkedIn is more than just a place to post updates. It's presented as a platform for building the kind of meaningful relationships that support long-term business growth, and it's meant to sit alongside a company's sales strategy whether they stick with the free version or explore paid tools. If you've been treating it as a digital noticeboard, this is about shifting that to a more active way of working.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Sheffield and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
