Blues-tinged rock solo show by Tyla J. Pallas, former frontman of The Dogs D'Amour, at Corporation.
Tyla J. Pallas is playing Corporation on Saturday 21 November, performing under the name Tyla's Dogs Damour. It's a solo show, so it's just him up front.
If the name sounds familiar, it's because Pallas first made his mark in the late 1980s fronting the rock 'n' roll band The Dogs D'Amour. This solo venture, Tyla's Dogs Damour, draws on a catalogue of blues-tinged rock built around his gravelly vocals and ragged guitar work, with a sound that shifts between swaggering anthems and bruised ballads. The atmosphere in the room tends to match the music: raw, smoky and charged. Since those early days, he's released a prolific succession of albums and toured the world as a solo artist, and he's an English musician, artist and poet as well as a songwriter.
