Four-and-a-half-hour tribute to country star Chris Stapleton, playing his favourite country and bluesy rock tunes.
The Chris Stapleton Experience plays Stein Haus on Friday 13 November, a tribute to the American country singer Chris Stapleton. They bill themselves as the UK's leading tribute to him, and the set is built around his favourite country tunes and more, rather than a single album or a specific era.
Stapleton is known for a sound that doesn't sit in one place, and the tribute follows that. The set runs from soulful country classics through to bluesy rock, so it's as much about the grit and the slow-burns as it is about the country side of things. It's a long one, too — the show runs for four and a half hours, which is a fair bit more than your average gig. If you're going, you'll want to settle in for the evening rather than popping in for a quick set.
The night is part of The All American (UK & Ireland) Road Show, a collection of shows bringing American country music across the UK and Ireland. It's a tribute, not the man himself, but the focus is on recreating Stapleton's authentic sound rather than just playing the hits.
