Tribute band The B Hives play The Hives' music at Corporation in Sheffield City Centre, with over-14s admission.
The B Hives are playing Corporation on Friday 13 November, a full set of The Hives' music. It's a tribute night, so the whole thing is built around the Swedish garage rock band rather than any original material of their own. If you've spent any time with The Hives, you know the sort of thing that'll be on the set: sharp, high-energy garage rock with a fair bit of swagger to it.
They're a tribute act that doesn't hold back on the self-description. They call themselves 'your New Favourite Tribute Band' and 'officially Hives-approved', and they don't stop there: they've gone on record as 'the greatest tribute act on the planet'. They describe themselves as being forged in the 'fountain of eternal youth' and 'as dangerous as a smack in the face from a flying microphone'. It's a bold way of talking about a cover band, but it fits the spirit of the music they're playing.

The night runs from 7:00pm to 10:30pm, with last entry at 10:00pm, so you've got a good window if you're coming from work or heading in a bit later. Tickets are £13.75, and the venue is Corporation at 2 Milton St, Sheffield City Centre, S1 4JU. One thing to keep in mind is that admission is restricted to over-14s, so it's not one for the very young.
