Free football session by Terrible Football Sheffield on the pitches at Norfolk Heritage Park.
Terrible Football Sheffield are back on the pitches at Norfolk Heritage Park this Sunday, 25 October, for another session of exactly what the name suggests. If you've never come across them, the premise is as straightforward as it gets: a casual game of football in the park, played for the sake of playing rather than for any league table or trophy. It's the kind of thing that works best when you're not taking it too seriously.
Finding the spot is the only bit that needs a moment's thought. They'll be at the football pitches in Norfolk Park Field, tucked between Heritage Park Community School and the basketball courts, so if you're coming from the city centre, you'll want to head towards the Guildford Avenue side of the park. It's a decent stretch of green, and having the school and the courts as landmarks makes it easy enough to spot once you're in the right area.
The session kicks off at 11:00 on the morning, so it's a Sunday thing that leaves you the rest of the day to do whatever else you fancy. And because it's a community game, there's no cost to join in — it's free. Whether you've played since you were five or you haven't touched a ball in years, the whole point is just getting out there and having a go.
